Rasmee - Dao Duang Mai (ดาวดวงใหม่)
Rasmee Single - December 2019
Today I delivered my son. In this painful but extremely special day I also wanted to release a new song - ‘Dao Duang Mai’ (A New Planet).
I believe that most people go through so many different stages in their lives, like they are moving from one planet to another: the planet of happiness, the planet of sadness, the planet of loneliness, the planet of disappointment, the planet of regret, the planet of uneasiness and plenty of others…
But whenever we feel these ways we should never forget there are so many other planets we can move to and accommodate ourselves. And we always have the option to start anew.
This is the message I would like to pass on to my son, and to anyone who is there to listen…
If there are only the ups in life,
how can we muster our strength when things collapse?
Huh…(x2)
Though exhausted, walk on we must. Work hard to make our dreams come true.
But whose dream? To whom that dream belongs. On my planet,
We’re told that making a lot of money is good.
That’ll bring happiness…fulfilment…Huh….Huh
With that in mind, I search for my new planet, a grand and dazzling one!
I’m mesmerized by the light of this new planet.
I’m lost in this labyrinth and completely fascinated.
Oh La Nor…
I now have all the things I set my heart upon.
Yet, my dream planet is not as pretty as I once thought it would be.
I admit that the world is not perfect, I will accept that and walk through all obstacles on my own.
Oh La Nor… Oh La Nor…
On my planet, it’s so lonely. When benefits are not there, so you have changed.
In our long-fostered relationship, no word of thanks is uttered. But I’ll accept that and walk through it, with time…
Huh…Huh… (Cont.)
Be prudent, my love. The dream planet you desire may disappoint you. All the pains, all the sadness, it’s time to let them go. Why don’t you begin anew?
Huh…Huh…
If there are only the ups in life,
how can we muster our strength when things collapse?
Huh…(x2)
