This is a traditional tribal song from Kusuman district, in Sakon Nakhon province. Nattapong Napong is the only remaining musician who can play this particular style of Khene line. In his tribe, they use this song to heal people and in special ceremonies. He showed me this song one night after a concert in Loei province. I fell in love with it and told him I would go see him so we could start making some music together. So actually this song was the starting point of this album!
